Storyteller features the creative expressions of Vinita Dasgupta’s diverse contemporary practices and her powerful exploration of techniques, experimentation and elemental identity of evolving relationship between nature and human form.
Within the space of a square frame, Vinita tries to build a world that is undeniably separate from the one we live in. What fascinates her about any artistic medium is that it can pull the viewer out of a logical and common world, and place them within a space that is more alive.
Her works vary from representational to abstract, and she is continuously moving along the continuum between the two.
Although much of Vinita’s works are figurative, her creative range is wide. Vinita sometimes inserts realism into semi-abstract backgrounds, sometimes capturing the human in a series of line drawings.
In this exhibition, Vinita is showing a mix of her creative practices. The Artist lives and works in New Delhi
